New tutorials guide navigation including access to datasets and tenement administration.

Used by exploration and mining companies around the world, the South Australian Resource Information Gateway, SARIG, plays a vital role in targeting hotspots, unearthing discoveries, gathering information and enabling business interactions in our resource-rich state.

User-friendly SARIG tutorials released on the Energy and Mining SA YouTube channel are designed to help users make the most of this portal to more than a century of South Australian geoscience information.

The immense potential of the SARIG portal was demonstrated during the recent crowdsourced, global open data competition, ExploreSA: The Gawler Challenge, aimed at uncovering new mineral exploration targets in the Gawler Craton. Participants applied machine-learning techniques, and alternative mathematical and data analysis approaches to SARIG datasets from recently completed major geophysical data collection programs across South Australia, in particular the world leading Gawler Craton Airborne Survey (GCAS), the AusLAMP magnetotelluric program, and subsequent Olympic Domain infill survey.
