Yorke Peninsula power outage news item

Faults on parts of ElectraNet’s energy transmission network have cut power to most of Yorke Peninsula. Parts of the Eyre Peninsula and the Mid North are also experiencing outages.

ElectraNet is working to restore power as soon as possible.

These outages come during a predicted low-intensity heatwave, which could present health risks to vulnerable people in affected areas. SA Health has advice on its website for staying healthy in the heat.

SA Health sites in the affected area are all operating on generators. SA Health is continuing to work with all sites, its primary focus being to minimise any potential impact on patients and communities.

ElectraNet will provide updates on restoration times on its website.
