Review of South Australia's National Energy Retail Law (Local Provisions) Regulations 2013
The Department for Energy and Mining (DEM) is reviewing the National Energy Retail Law (Local Provisions) Regulations 2013.
The Regulations apply or modify how the National Energy Customer Framework (NECF), which regulates the sale and supply of energy to small customers, operates in South Australia.
This review will ensure that the Regulations remain relevant and effective. Some matters prescribed in the Regulations are required for the NECF to operate in South Australia and need to continue, while some may need to be updated. The review will determine which regulations should be re-made (and how), and which (if any) can be allowed to expire.
