The Office of the Technical Regulator (OTR) is reviewing the Standard for Dual Reticulation Infrastructure for South Australia’s water industry, which was first published in 2020, following extensive consultation with the industry.
The Standard sets out the minimum requirements and responsibilities for everyone involved in designing, constructing, and managing dual reticulation infrastructure. It helps ensure that water services provided to South Australian consumers remain safe, reliable, and high quality.
The purpose of this review is to ensure the design, installation and construction of dual reticulation infrastructure, including up to the point of connection to a property, will be in accordance with the Standard in addition to requirements set out in the Water Services Association of Australia (WSAA) codes.
Get involved
After several years in effect, the OTR sought feedback to understand how the Standard is working in practice. The purpose was to identify any areas for improvement and ensure it continues to support safety, reliability, and compliance for Water Industry Entities (WIEs).
