Background

The Office of the Technical Regulator (OTR) is undertaking industry consultation and seeking feedback for the proposed removal of a South Australia Variation to the National Construction Code (NCC), Volume 3: The Plumbing Code of Australia.

The removal of variation SAB2D5 will reduce the likelihood of vulnerable people, such as the elderly and children, sustaining serious burns whilst using heated water on sanitary fixtures.
