Northern Gawler National Drilling Initiative
The Northern Gawler National Drilling Initiative (NDI) is a collaboration between the Geological Survey of South Australia and MinEx CRC, aiming to enhance geological knowledge in the Northern Gawler Craton area. By conducting a scientific drilling program, the project seeks to map the region's geology and structure in 3D, thereby identifying potential mineral systems and supporting future exploration efforts.
2026 Relinquished Exploration Release Areas (ERAs)
Since April 2026, DEM has progressively released four batches of relinquished ground as ERAs.
PACE Minerals
The Plan for Accelerating Exploration (PACE) Minerals - innovation, collaboration and capacity building to advance exploration activity in South Australia.
The South Australian government is investing $12.4 million over four years to co-fund mineral exploration and help fast-track the discoveries that will become tomorrow’s mines.
