Georgia works at BHP’s Olympic Dam site as a Village Supervisor, overseeing the operation of two Villages including over 3,000 accommodation rooms, to support the Olympic Dam FIFO workforce.

Since joining BHP in 2020, Georgia has held positions in the Housing and Village Operations team, beginning as an administrator before being appointed the role of Village Specialist and then Village Supervisor.

Georgia is responsible for ensuring delivery of the accommodation and hospitality services across the villages with a strong focus on safety, contractor management, continuous improvement and enhancing the experience for Olympic Dam residents.

She is passionate about leading people and supporting individuals and teams to reach their full potential. It is her commitment to drive positive outcomes, her strong work ethic and genuine culture of care that has resulted in her accelerated career journey to date. The highlight of her career has been recognising her potential to establish a career in leadership, and understanding the positive impact she can have on not only her direct team, but the broader business and industry as a strong people leader.

Georgia's colleagues describe her as a role model, committed to high performance outcomes, of the highest integrity, leading with a culture of care, and incredibly committed to BHP and the Roxby Downs regional community.

Georgia has been accepted into the Win RSA and WIMnetSA Mentoring Program which connects women in the mining industry with industry professionals and supports networking with like-minded people.

She has also enrolled in further leadership development training to secure a Superintendent role within BHP and establish herself as an influential and respected leader across South Australia's mining industry.
