Renewable energy: Projects and initiatives focused on solar, wind, hydro, and other renewable energy sources.
Energy efficiency: Innovations and programs aimed at improving energy efficiency and reducing energy consumption.
Energy storage: Development and implementation of energy storage solutions, such as batteries and other technologies.

Applicants in the resources categories should be involved in activities related to:

Downstream oil and gas: Projects, companies and people involved in refining, marketing, and distribution of oil and gas products.
Upstream oil and gas: Projects, companies and people engaged in the exploration, extraction, and initial processing of oil and gas.
Mining: Activities related to the extraction and processing of minerals and other geological materials.
Sustainable resource management: Projects that focus on sustainable practices in resource extraction and utilisation.
