The Mining and Exploration Regulation System (MERS) manages the entire lifecycle of regulation for the resources sector within South Australia, replacing the Tenement Management System (TMS) and selected supporting systems.
Online exploration and mining applications, status tools, tenement reports and mining register are all available via the MERS portal, and are no longer accessible from the SARIG map portal.
The Mining and Exploration Regulation System (MERS) was released on 21 July 2025.
