The Prominent Hill operation comprises a number of tenements, including the mining lease (ML 6288), miscellaneous purpose licences (MPL 81, 82, 83,84, 91, 93, 94 96, 97, 101, 112 to 117 and 119 to 122) and extractive mineral leases (EML 6234, 6236 to 6242, 6278 to 6296, 6299)

The deposit
  • Located within the Mount Woods Inlier, in the northeast of the Gawler Craton
  • Occurs within a large hematite altered sedimentary breccia complex that lies beneath a younger sedimentary overburden (cover sequence)
