The winners and finalists of the Premier’s Awards in Energy and Mining were announced tonight at the 11th annual awards dinner and presentation ceremony attended by more than 300 sector representatives from South Australia’s Energy and Mining Sector and beyond.

The Awards highlight the innovation, expertise, and global leadership in the transformative space of energy and mining, as key organisations work with our state towards achieving net zero carbon emissions by 2050.

Energy and mining underpin South Australia’s economic prosperity and reputation as a world leader in renewable energy.

This year, a new category has been included – Young Indigenous Achiever in recognition of the valuable contribution of First Nations People to the sector and to recognise future leaders. The joint winners of this category are Tyrone Strangways from Agile Mining, and Chandrika Coulthard at OZ Minerals.

Other category winners include Planet Ark Power and Epic Energy for the IKEA eleXsys Microgrid; MaxMine for MaxMine Carbon; Amber Electric’s Smart ShiftTM; and Santos for its How to drive around the world 500 times safely story.

Each winning nomination has demonstrated the vision, innovation, and excellence that thrives in the state’s energy and mining sector.

Premier Peter Malinauskas presented winners and commended with a framed certificate, and winners with a hand-blown glass trophy crafted by local glass blower Eamonn Vereker’s studios at Norwood.
