Application: Associated Infrastructure Licence (AIL)

Applicant: Regional Council of Goyder

Purpose: Construction, operation, maintenance and decommissioning of the temporary workers accommodation facility at Burra. The workers accommodation is proposed to accommodate approximately 400 workers for a period of up to 5 years.

Location

The project site is located at the former Aberdeen Oval within the township boundary of Burra, approximately 3 km north of Burra centre.

The Environmental Impact Report (EIR) and Statement of Environmental Objectives (SEO) have been submitted by Regional Council of Goyder, following stakeholder consultation.

Should you make a written submission, that submission becomes a public record. All written submissions will be provided to the applicant for consideration and will be made publicly available on the Hydrogen and Renewable Energy Register (unless deemed irrelevant, offensive, or on any other grounds that the Minister thinks fit) in accordance with the requirements of the HRE Act and regulations.

The delegate of the Minister for Energy and Mining is required to have regard to these submissions in determining whether to grant or refuse the application and, if granted, the terms and conditions on which it should be granted.

Comments on the proposal must be submitted by 5:00 pm, 24 July 2026.
