The Australian Competition and Consumer Commission (ACCC) has published a product recall for a two-stage LPG gas pressure regulator fitted to Snowy River and Newgen Caravans.
The gas regulator has been recalled due to a fault in the diaphragm that causes it to fail and leak LPG gas.
The two-stage LPG gas pressure regulator recalled is model RV-One HDJYF1001-1.
There is a risk of serious injury or death if the gas leaks near an ignition source and causes an explosion or fire. There is also a risk of serious injury or death by asphyxiation if the leak causes a build-up of gas in an enclosed space. Incidents have occurred where the regulator has failed and leaked LPG gas.
