An application for retention leases was made by Sibelco Australia Limited over mineral claims (MC) 3359 and 3360 in December 2019. The Department for Energy and Mining (DEM) advertised the application for public comment on 5 February 2020 with a submission deadline for comments by 5 March 2020.  The retention lease proposal can be accessed at the link below:

DEM are currently assessing the application, response document and all submissions received during the public submission period prior to making a decision on whether or not to grant a lease, and if so the applicable terms and conditions.

Program for environment protection and rehabilitation (PEPR)

The PEPR for the site was approved on 28 February 2019. A revision of the Groundwater Section of the PEPR has been submitted by the operator and is currently under assessment.
