Amy is a Project Geologist for BHP's Oak Dam Resource Strategy Team. She works on the creation of the orebody knowledge acquisition strategy, and undertakes the management and delivery of geological studies required for the discovery stages of exploration and for early mine assessment. This includes planning and executing geophysics surveys, monitoring data entry and quality at all acquisition points, geological modelling and interpretation, and supporting BHP in all studies relating to Oak Dam geoscience.

Amy graduated from the Queensland University of Technology with a double degree in Earth Science (Geology) and Business (Management), then completed a Masters in Business Management (International) from the Central Queensland University.

Throughout her career Amy has worked across numerous commodities across three different states. In 2019 she was involved in the OZ Minerals Explorer Challenge, contributing to Team OreFox winning the Genius Award.

In 2021 Amy joined the Oak Dam team as the project was handed over from Metals Exploration to the Olympic Dam Planning and Technical team. I worked in the studies team, then later the geoscience team, and ultimately, I advanced into the newly developed Resource Strategy team as a Project Geologist.

Amy is a member of the Olympic Dam Inclusion and Diversity Council and the South Australian Chapter Lead for Jasper, BHP’s LGBT+ ally network.
