Jack leads the operations team at MaxMine, a data platform that improves mining operational efficiency, profitability, safety and sustainability - getting mining done differently through the strategic integration of artificial intelligence, automated data processing and analytics.
Jack's current role requires a multifaced skill set that spans leadership, emotional intelligence, communication, resilience and critical thinking with a proactive action-oriented drive. His journey from a technical foundation to a passion for project management, leadership, and innovation has positioned him to bridge the connection between technology and people.
Jack gained a degree in Mechanical and Aerospace engineering and began his career as a graduate project engineer at KBR, managing a diverse range of multidiscipline projects spanning mechanical, electrical, civil, structural and chemical domains, and developing skills in project management and delivery.
With an underlying passion for leadership and engineering Jack turned his focus to further develop his project management and interpersonal skills with the team at MaxMine, pushing the forefront of technology. He started at MaxMine as a hardware project lead, and has now matured into a management position, building and mentoring teams, influencing business strategy, and ensuring best outcomes for their people, clients, and the environment.
His leadership has created a strong sense of unity and purpose within the Adelaide based operations team, who spend significant time travelling to remote parts of Australia and the world, working long days in difficult environments, while delivering complex engineering projects. Their collaborative efforts have yielded consistently high-quality project outcomes, receiving recognition from clients and suppliers alike for industry-leading standards.
Jack also supports mental health initiatives and fosters a culture of learning.
He is dedicated to ongoing growth and MaxMine's success, eager to contribute to a future where leadership and innovation intersect. As AI and machine learning redefine industries he is poised to lead with ethical, people-centred tech integration.
