Final project reports published.
Since 2019 the Government of South Australia has funded the Accelerated Discovery Initiative (ADI) to advance exploration activity in the state. Focusing on innovation, collaboration and capacity building, more than 50 projects have been granted funding.
In June 2022 the successful applicants of Round 3 of the ADI were announced. The funded projects cover a wide variety of commodities with a focus on exploration drilling (47%) and geophysical programs (35%).
Aside from supporting the South Australian exploration sector, the ADI allows the Department for Energy and Mining to quickly increase the data and knowledge of areas of the state by publishing data and technical reports at the completion of programs.
To date 15 reports from Rounds 1 and 2 have been made available. These include iron oxide – copper–gold (IOCG) models, the use of wireless sensors for mapping heat flow under cover, geochemical mapping, airborne magnetotelluric surveys and so much more.
All of the reports are available for download via the South Australian Resource Information Gateway (SARIG).
