H2H is establishing Hydrogen Hubs in strategic locations across the state that will become the go-to locations for hydrogen technologies and processes, addressing the challenges faced in real world industrial applications. This will ensure, its hydrogen ambitions and endeavours will reach beyond SA borders and have national and global impacts.
SA-H2H recognises the need to collaborate with all like-minded jurisdictions across Australia to build domestic scale initially, develop global export opportunities and support the development of required new workforce skills.

The transition to clean renewable energy impacts everyone and everything we do.
Hydrogen will help decarbonise our energy system, provide a clean energy option for hard to abate heavy industries and the road, rail and marine mobility sectors.
Hydrogen is tomorrow’s clean fuel today. We owe it to future generations to develop a clean, sustainable, affordable and secure energy ecosystem that with provide national and global opportunities for South Australia.
SA-H2H is a good news story and it’s happening right here in South Australia.
We have engaged with major industry operators, the supply chain sector, our world class research organisations and our government sector to help accelerate the development of hydrogen technologies and opportunities. There exists a lot of expertise and commitment within all of these sectors to develop a South Australian hydrogen ecosystem with national and global ambitions.
For a small population state, we punch well above our weight. We have the drive, the natural resources, stable government and talented people to seize upon new opportunities as they arise.
Without doubt, South Australia is one of the best places to live nationally and even globally. We have an abundance of space, enviable climate and natural wonders to appreciate and explore.
By protecting what we have, we can ensure that generations to come can also experience the same lifestyle and opportunities that we have enjoyed.
Developing a renewable and sustainable energy system that incorporates hydrogen is the future. We must decarbonise our energy system, and the benefits go beyond reducing CO2 climate impacts to include having cleaner air to breathe, free from vehicle and industrial exhaust impacts.
At SA-H2H, we are at the forefront of tackling the challenges of developing and commercialising a new sustainable hydrogen ecosystem for South Australia.
Although we are a not-for-profit member-based organisation, the South Australian government has already made an important funding contribution to ensure we are established in the early years. However to really super charge the hydrogen opportunity for South Australia, it is important that industry and government continue to collaborate and support SA-H2H to ensure a vibrant local hydrogen industry develops.
The Premier’s Awards show to those who participate and other developing businesses that the current state Government recognises the importance start-ups and established businesses can make, helping to develop new opportunities for the benefit of our state. They highlight the needs and challenges various industry sectors face and how they solve them locally.

There has been no single moment, it is a journey and we’re excited by the opportunities that this journey presents to South Australia, so naturally want to share this widely and encourage everyone to join with us.
We have been simply amazed at the rapid growth of the SA-H2H with over 50 members and supporters in the first 12-months. This is a strong indication of the appetite for collaboration and accelerating the emerging hydrogen industry in South Australia and this is a story worth telling.
That’s easy: People, people and people – representing a broad range of sectors!
The enthusiasm, knowledge and involvement of people joining and participating in our association has enabled SA-H2H to grow to what it is today. It’s all about the people and how we can work together to achieve our aim of developing hydrogen supply chain scale and technologies in South Australia.
We enjoy an enviable lifestyle in a state brimming with natural wonders and resources. We’re not Sydney or Shanghai – and shouldn’t bother trying to be. They are great cities to visit, but it’s always fantastic to come home to South Australia.
Clean air, food, wine, travel, people, opportunities – it’s all here, easily accessible and relatively affordable still. Just don’t tell anyone!
