Free Electric Vehicle Day at Whyalla It’s Whyalla’s turn to accelerate to a greener future with a free Electric Vehicle Day showcasing a variety of models and the latest in EV technologies.

In support of South Australia’s target to reduce greenhouse gas emissions, Whyalla’s Veterinary Clinic is hosting the free event on Saturday 27 May from 10:00 am to 4:00 pm for people to discover the benefits of electric vehicles (EVs) and learn what’s involved in moving to EVs.

Attend the EV day and you can:

  • see a variety of electric vehicles
  • learn about the advantages of EVs from guest speakers
  • see how EVs work.

Whyalla's Veterinary Clinic Principal Veterinarian, Andrew Melville-Smith is proud to lead the way by changing the clinic cars to electric vehicles in 2022.

“We think it’s a great way to provide better air quality so our pets are not breathing toxic exhaust fumes, as well as reducing greenhouse fuel emissions, and slow global warming,” Andrew said.

“People attending can register for a ride in an EV or display their EVs. We have free giveaways and an opportunity to win a $1,000 shopping voucher. Most of all, people will leave more confident and informed when ready to make the shift to EVs.”
