Friday 9 June 2023
The South Australian Premier’s 2023 STEM Reading and Design Challenge is focused on our sustainable future. The competition closes this month on 23 June, but there is still time to take up the challenge!
Joining the themes this year - Nature in SA and Space - is GREEN HYDROGEN!
To enter you need to read a nature, space or sustainable energy themed book, preferably from the Premier’s Reading Challenge booklist and then use your imagination for your entry.
Winners will be announced in August at National Science Week.
Learn more about green hydrogen
To understand green hydrogen, students are encouraged to read about sustainable energy, solar, wind, geothermal and how it can be used to produce green hydrogen. This is a fantastic way for students and schools to learn more about green hydrogen and the future it will play in our state to help us become net zero by 2050.
We've produced a video and brochure to help explain green hydrogen:
- Show your children our Short video: Understanding green hydrogen that explains green hydrogen
- Read the green hydrogen explainer to understand how green hydrogen is made and how it can be used in our renewable journey: Green hydrogen - powering South Australian jobs and industry (PDF, 972.2 KB)
